Wish List for PPNA Community

Joaquin Miller, your neighborhood elementary school, is very excited about developing our mutually beneficial partnership.  Joaquin Miller offers boys and girls in your neighborhood a high quality academic education and we boast a wonderfully broad enrichment learning experience.  Our school has been home to children in the neighborhood for over 50 years!  We know how important it is to maintain warm traditions while using our modern creativity to create new pathways in to the 21st Century.  I want to personally thank the Association for reaching out to our school this year and for your continued support.  Support we can count on.
SAFETY FIRST
As you know, emergency preparedness is a common goal we hold.  Our school has a new School Site Safety Plan and we are in the process of ensuring our safety preparedness materials are up-to-date and fulfill our school’s needs in a real emergency.  We appreciate any donations of the following items:

  • “D” Batteries
  • “AA” Batteries
  • LED 100 hour Flashlights
  • Small Portable Radios
  • Chewing gum and Life Savers Candy
  • Ice Packs
  • Antibiotic Cream
  • Non-Aspirin Tablets (for adults)
  • Burn Spray
  • Bug Spray
  • Snap Light sticks
  • Travel Packs of Kleenex
  • Hand wipes
  • Boxes of 12 crayons
  • Band Aids (assorted and latex free)
  • Survival blankets

You may drop off any of these items in our front office. 

VOLUNTEERS ALWAYS NEEDED AND APPRECIATED
We are always looking for responsible folks to volunteer at Lunch Recess.  If you have 30 minutes to give, come down to the office to get on our lunch duty team.  We have two lunch areas to cover.  There are some formalities that must be met, before you get started, but we know that you hold the same value for safety as we do. 
As our school makes new strides in the area of academic performance and systems are in place such as, the new parking valet system with our wonderful new Safety Patrol, we will find that working together has never been better or easier.  Contact Ms. Smith at paulette2000s@gmail.com
