The Forum allows you to fill out a profile which tells people about you. You can have your name, age, instant messenger information, personal avatar, and more!
Editing ProfileTo change your profile, click the "Profile" option in the main forum menu.
- Password
Passwords have no restrictions, but it is recommended that you type
at least 6 characters, using a combination of characters and numbers.
Both password fields must be the same, simply as a check that you typed
it correctly.
Example: xd8bill
- Name
This is your real or displayed name. This is what will be shown throughout
the forum, in place of your Username.
Example: John Doe
- Email Address
This must be valid to register, and things may be sent to this e-mail
address by the forum, such as topic notifications. It is also required
if you ever wish to retrieve a forgotten password.
Example: me@mydomain.com
- Gender
You get two choices. Male or Female ;) This is an optional field to
provide other users with your gender.
- Birthdate
Your birthdate, in MMDDYYYY form. The birthday is only used to ensure
that you are old enough to register on the forum. It also allows the
forum to display special items on your birthday.
Example: 07 31 1981
- Location
This is an optional field. You may type your current location or where
you live in this field. It is displayed in your profile for other visitors
to see.
- Signature
This is a brief message or list of urls's that you may type in. Signatures
are shown at the bottom of each of your posts. If you always sign your
posts with "Best Regards, Your Name", you may want to type
this in the signature box. It will automatically be added to your posts.
- Website title and Website URL
If you have a website, you can add the title and url of your website
here.
- ICQ
This is an instant message service outside this forum.
ICQ stands for "I seek you". If you use ICQ, you can add your
ICQ number here, it's optional. If you want more information regarding
ICQ, here is the website url: http://web.icq.com/
- AIM
Another instant message service outside this forum. AIM stands
for AOL Instant Messenger.
If you use AIM you can add your AOL Instant Messenger nickname here,
it's optional. If you want information regarding AIM, here is the url:

- YIM
Yes another instant message service outside this forum. YIM stands for
Yahoo Instant Messenger. If you use YIM you can add your Yahoo Instant
Messenger nickname here, it's optional. If you want information regarding

- Personal Text
Enter in any text you want to automatically appear in your member information
- for example: I Love Piedmont Pines!
- Personalized Picture
You can choose to post a picture of your choice or choose one of the
forums avatars. An avatar is a funny picture Icon that represents your
alternate reality image. The forum has many to choose from, just the
select the image of your choice from the drop down menu in this section.
Or, you can choose your own image you have stored on your computer.
To select your own picture or photo, specify a web path (ex: http://www.mypage.com/mypic.gif)
to your own image. Please note that your image must be gif or jpg and
that it will be resized.
- Preferences
You can choose to hide your e-mail from public view, and choose how
you would like the date and time displayed. These settings have been
set by the administrator for PST (pacific standard time)
